Practice With Precision.
Do you ever wonder if you’re doing your poses “right”? Yoga poses are never finished, never perfect. The poses are meant to be constantly unfolding and expanding. In these upcoming workshops, Stephen Ewashkiw will bring you techniques to evolve and expand your practice.
Everything you do that helps you find a deeper understanding of your body and of your mind is yoga. Yoga invites you to engage more with your body, your life, and to engage more with the life that is happening around you.
By working with you on the detailed anatomical alignment of the poses, Stephen will help you learn to build strength and stability so that you can safely deepen your practice. It doesn’t matter if you practice vinyasa, hot, Power, Hatha, or any other kind of yoga. These workshops are for anyone who currently practices yoga, and wants to learn more about how to refine their poses, how to improve their techniques. Expect clear instructions, the use of props, postural demonstrations and a keen focus on form. Come prepared to work hard. Come prepared to have fun.
Friday evening – Reflect & Restore
Friday evening will give you time to process the past week, and prepare for the weekend ahead with time for meditation and contemplation, along with a restorative asana practicel. This class is open to everyone, and appropriate for all levels. You do not have to attend the other workshops to come to this class.
Saturday afternoon – Inversion Conversion
Don’t worry, you won’t be upside down the entire class. In this workshop we will break down some of the key areas of the body you need to focus on for inversions. You may be surprised by some of the work we focus on in this class. Come prepared to work hard, play hard, and have your world turned upside down.
We recommend that you have tried yoga a couple of times.
Sunday morning – Revolve, Evolve
The world is spinning at a spectacular rate, a fact that continually blows my mind. In this class we will revolve around our own sun, our heart, through a series of twists. Twists require stability in their foundation. Without it, the This workshop will help you further turn your world around by helping you create a strong, steady grounding to your poses.
Sunday afternoon – The Practice
A 3-hour asana class that will bring together the work from the weekend in a focused, challenging class, playing with some poses we don’t usually get to in public classes. This work may include group conversation, journaling, anatomy discussion, partner work, and demos.
