Riga: Adventure Yoga Weekend Workshops

Stephen Ewashkiw returns to Riga and Joga Pa saulei on November 12-14 for a weekend (plus Monday) of Adventure Yoga workshops.

Adventure Yoga is an alignment-infused Hatha Vinyasa practice.


Saturday, November 12
10:00 – 12:30
ALIGN & REFINE + ABDOMINALS AND LOWER BACK / Alignment- Infused Hatha Yoga Workshop

FOR: students with a regular, dedicated practice
This workshop will focus on techniques to help you activate your abdominal muscles, stabilize your core, and strengthen your lower back so that you can stand tall and support your body as you work on inversions and arm balances. You will learn more about anatomy, refine your alignment, and tap into your own strength and courage. Come to continue your adventure as we break down these complicated asanas.

15:30 – 18:30
FOR: teachers, and students with a home practice
A 3-hour workshop designed to help you refine your skills at sequencing effective & educational vinyasa classes. You will learn how to create and teach more effective, intelligently sequenced vinyasa classes that weave anatomy and alignment into the flow. When you apply the skills learned in this workshop, your students will get more out of your classes and leave with improved knowledge of their own bodies and how to safely expand their yoga practice.

READY TO FLY? ARM BALANCING TECHNIQUES / Alignment- Infused Hatha Yoga Workshop
FOR: all students with a regular practice
Do you look at yogis on Instagram doing arm balances in exotic locations and think, “Looks amazing, but I can’t do that!”? The thing is, you can do it, you just haven’t learned how yet. This workshop will demystify arm balances by teaching you techniques to help minimize the strength you need to get flying, as well as stabilizing your core to keep you up in the air. Arm balancing, like yoga, is for everyone! Come get more comfortable with falling and flying.

18:30 – 21:00
ALIGN & REFINE: HIP FLEXOR FOCUS/ Alignment- Infused Hatha Yoga Workshop
FOR: all students with a regular practice
We talk about our hip flexors a lot, but do you know what they are, or what they do? You’re probably using them right now without even knowing it. In this workshop, you will learn anatomy and alignment as it relates to your hip flexors and how you walk, stand, and fold your body.

Stephen Ewashkiw is RYT 500, ERYT200, and has studied closely with world-renowned teachers Christina Sell, Darren Rhodes, and Noah Mazé. He has studied with Noah Mazé for more than seven years and is currently doing what he tongue-in-cheek calls his PhD in Yoga – a one-year intensive program with Noah. Stephen travels the world leading inspiring, adventurous yoga workshops. See to find out more.
