A Taste Of German Yoga

By Jane Mountain | September 19, 2013

It’s amazing how going out to a single yoga class can take all day.

We had arranged to meet Dorin from lululemon athletica Berlin for a one-hour class today at Spirit Yoga. This is one of the loveliest studios we’ve been in on our journey. The design was warm and welcoming with curving wooden beams on the ceiling and a river of white pebbles on the floor. Also, it smelled amazing – of chai tea, vanilla, and cinnamon.

As a bonus, the class was superb.

It was all in German, so we missed out on a lot of the finer details, but the sequence had us both sweating during class and sore afterwards. Even though we couldn’t understand the specific instructions, we could tell from the movements of the students around us that it was a solid class, with lots of attention to alignment.

In Chinese visa news, we got an email from the visa company we are using saying our applications have been prepared for submission. That’s step one. Here’s hoping things go smoothly.

We had another home-cooked meal tonight, courtesy of the combined cooking prowess of Jesse and Stephen. Ladies, I’ve said it before, but you should find a man who can cook! Men, you should learn how to cook.

And that was all folks. Just a normal day in Berlin.
