Fever In, Fever Out

By Jane Mountain | July 23, 2014

This final month of our trip, we had planned to explore Bali and its surrounds, to practice yoga daily, to cook delicious meals, to take photos and to write. We had planned to rest.

Plans are just an invitation for the universe to fu** with you.

Instead, we got dengue fever. Yep, we both got dengue fever, even though it doesn’t pass from person to person.

Hey, we weren’t doing anything anyway, so why not get KO’d by a mosquito, right? At least we can now mark “contract debilitating tropical disease” off our bucket lists.

Glad you and Jane are alright. Dengue fever is no picnic. It is good you had each other to help you through it. Just imagine if you were dealing with it alone.

Oh dear!!!!! So sorry to hear and hope that you both are able to overcome the effects with enough time left over for the much-deserved slow paced exploration of Bali. Feel better soon!
