The vibrant Pink City, Jaipur, India, offers some of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever seen. These are our picks for the best resorts in Jaipur for mindful travellers.
Jaipur is a thrilling destination for people who love historical architecture. It is home to the famous Amber Fort and the stunning Water Palace, but there are many more temples, forts, and spectacular palaces which will take your breath away.
The city itself is a hotbed of disorganized chaos – a day exploring is equally exhilarating and exhausting.
For a peaceful escape from the city’s frantic pace, treat yourself to one of the best resorts in Jaipur.
Many of the royal palaces and stately homes that once belonged to the Jaipur elite have now been converted into opulent hotels or resorts, where visitors get the chance to be treated like royalty.
Tomorrow, as I sit on yet another overcrowded mini-bus in Cambodia, bouncing down rutted dirt roads through the countryside, you can be sure I’ll be dreaming of these fabulous Jaipur resorts, where you can rest, relax, and rejuvenate your soul.

Housed in a 175-year-old haveli (a traditional Indian mansion), this family-owned boutique hotel is an example of a fantastic conversion which keeps the original atmosphere but updates for modern conveniences.
Like many haveli hotels in Jaipur, it features individually decorated bedrooms, echoing the classic Rajasthani style. At Samode, the rooms are secreted away around a series of secluded courtyards.
Intricately tiled walls and ceilings, hardwood and marble floors, and lavish Indian rugs ooze style, elegance, and comfort. Once you see the spectacular pool area, you’ll find yourself wishing you had been born into the ruling classes of Jaipur 200 years ago.

If you want to spend a few nights soaking up the atmosphere in the centre of Jaipur, the Royal Orchid provides an oasis to retreat to at the end of the day. With 8 rooms featuring their own private plunge pools and other rooms served by a rooftop swimming pool, there is plenty of space to relax and cool off. If you want to get more active, head to the hotel gym or arrange a tour of Jaipur’s top attractions with the concierge.

Owned by descendants of the royal family of Shahpura, this palatial family house has been lovingly preserved and restored. The opulent decor, including magnificent chandeliers and colourful tile work, is a feast for the eyes. With each room decorated in individual style using marble and semi-precious stones, this must be one of the most fabulous five star hotels in Jaipur.
The Shahpura incorporates traditional eco-friendly Indian practices in addition to modern developments to reduce their impact on the environment. During the restoration, they used local knowledge, skills, and materials. Now, they continue to support the community through employment opportunities, funding local schools, and healthcare initiatives.

Featuring pink sandstone and lime architecture, each villa has a striking domed roof, and the room provides luxe amenities like a pillow menu and a bath butler!
The resort is involved in local water and energy conservation and concentrates on reducing or reusing waste from the hotel. They also support the local school and local community by providing supplies, medical care, and employment for some of the villagers.

I had no idea a treehouse could be this luxurious! The rooms, which are called “nests” at the Treehouse Resort, are tucked high in the foliage, and large branches form the centrepiece of the rooms. Even with rooms in the treetops, this must be one of the most down-to-earth Jaipur luxury hotels.
The service is top-notch and all the luxury amenities are present, like a gorgeous swimming pool and a concierge. There’s even a playground to keep your kids busy.
Songbirds in the aviary create a tranquil soundscape for your spa treatments. And don’t worry, they are former caged birds which have been freed but can’t live in the wild. The Treehouse also offers luxury electric safari vehicles for your visit to the Tadoba Tiger Reserve.

Surrounded by lush farmlands, Savista is an eco-friendly boutique hotel in Jaipur, with only 14 guest rooms designed to reflect the nature surrounding the property. For the wellness traveller, or anyone who needs to recover from the hectic pace of cities in India, Savista offers daily yoga and an organic detox program.
At Savista, they grow their own veggies and grains without using chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Even the buffalo milk comes from buffaloes fed on the estate’s chemical-free grass. Solar energy is used to heat the water at the resort and the swimming pool water is drawn from a deep well, not treated chemically, and then reused to irrigate the grounds.

If you’ve always wanted to try camping the way a princess might do it, book one of Rajasthali’s luxury tents. The tents each have a huge crystal window with garden views, a 4-poster king-sized bed, and an in-tent jacuzzi! While it isn’t exactly getting back to nature, it is the perfect place to unwind.
If you prefer four solid walls around you, Rajasthali also offers luxurious indoor rooms in keeping with its status among Jaipur heritage hotels.
The resort offers Ayurvedic and naturopathic treatments to help you on the road to relaxation. If you want to get active, head out into the hills for an afternoon of trail biking.

Describing themselves as a modern luxury homestay, The Farm might be the most unusual accommodation I’ve ever encountered. Each of the seven rooms has its own eclectic design and the property features an array of eclectic art pieces, many made from reclaimed materials. They also offer communal dining, with all meals created from fresh crops from their organic garden.
As their website says: “We believe in the Slow movement, in recycling, in stopping to smell the roses, in good wholesome food and time for ourselves.” We couldn’t agree more.
If you love the idea of being treated like royalty, while taking a thrilling cultural adventure, what are you waiting for? For a mindful retreat, combined with the opulence of an age gone by, book one of the best resorts in Jaipur!

What Makes a Resort Mindful?
When at all possible, we stay in apartments, hotels, hostels, or guest houses where our money makes a positive impact in the community and the hotel minimizes its impact on the environment.
To keep our money local — instead of funnelling it into international hotel chains — we try to stay in family-owned accommodation whenever possible.
We also focus on how a hotel might impact our own mindfulness.
We like to find places where we can feel completely relaxed — safe, clean, and welcome. Having a comfortable place to sleep every night helps us to roll out of bed in the morning as the best possible version of ourselves.
Finally, for us, hotels get a few bonus mindful points for having enough space to roll out a yoga mat and practice a little Adventure Yoga.
Why Did We Write This Guide to Jaipur Resorts?
We write comprehensive posts about accommodation in places we’ve visited or want to visit because we want to share the hours of research we do — we know that most people just don’t have the time to explore every hotel option out there!
We also know that online reviews can be misleading and confusing. Our experience has helped us learn to spot the fake reviews (and the crazy ones) a mile away!
Finally, the links we use in this post are our personal affiliate links. This means that if you use one of the links to book a hotel, we’ll get paid a small commission (at no extra cost to you!). Think of it as a GREAT way of saying thanks for all our hard work.
